The start of a commission going to the University of Edinburgh, for a PhD study into osteoarchaeology, which will involve shooting replica arrows into bone and muscle to compare with medieval grave finds in the hope of being able to identify specific arrowhead types used in battle.
These are Saxon Type 1 socketed heads, with 3/8" sockets copied from a beautiful Museum Of London head.
