130lb English elm bow and late Medieval arrow for Norwich Castle Museum

The bow has cow horn sidenocks, a simple wax finish and will be used as an interactive item to show museum visitors what an average weight military bow might have felt like to draw.

The arrow is fairly standard, with long low goose fletchings cut to the height of the grease line, verdigris compound and silk binding with a cow horn insert. The head is a short Type 10 with a 1/2" socket.
