Seax finished at last!

Had a few hours this evening to get a stain and oil on the handle and I'm so glad it's done! Just the sheath to go now.

The blade is made up of a wrought iron spine, a core of two bars of twisted iron and steel - each made up of 7 layers - and a carbon steel cutting edge. It was forged in charcoal with bellows.

The bolster is fallow deer antler, and the handle is English ash, carved with knotwork inspired by the recently found Seax handle at Skälby and stained.

It will be for sale at some point in the near future!
